Currently, Terminal supports Windows only. macOS and Linux support are not available at this time. Windows 10 or later is required.
Terminal requires Unreal Engine 5.4 or later. Earlier versions of UE5 (5.0–5.3) and UE4 are not supported.
Yes. Any AI tool with a command-line interface works inside Octree Terminal. This includes Claude Code, GitHub Copilot CLI, Gemini CLI, OpenAI Codex, and many others. See the Integrations page for the full list of tested tools.
Go to Editor Preferences > Plugins > Terminal and change the 'Default Shell' setting. You can choose between PowerShell, CMD, WSL, or other installed shells on your system.
Terminal is lightweight and has minimal impact on editor performance. The plugin uses approximately 50 MB of disk space and runs shell processes efficiently in the background.
Yes. Terminal is a native UE editor panel that supports drag-and-dock like any other editor window. You can freely arrange it alongside your viewport, content browser, or other panels to match your preferred layout.
